USTA Northern

USTA Northern is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and one of 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association. Our mission is “Growing tennis to inspire healthier people and communities everywhere.” To achieve this, we collaborate with parks, schools, facilities, volunteers, and coaches to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the lifelong benefits of tennis.

We:

• Provide scholarships to young players from beginners to top competitors, so that financial barriers never limit participation.

• Award grants and technical assistance to parks and schools, helping maintain accessible and high-quality public tennis courts.

• Support local advocates who champion the physical, social, and mental health benefits of tennis in their communities.

• Organize amateur competitions for players of all levels, promoting health and wellness through lifelong play.

• Train coaches and teachers to deliver programs that are safe, welcoming, and inclusive for participants of all backgrounds and abilities.

• Offer fundraising opportunities for school teams and community-based tennis programs to support expenses such as uniforms, equipment, and transportation.

Above all, we believe in the power of tennis to transform lives, building stronger minds, healthier bodies, and more connected communities. Guided by our core values of Fun, Integrity, Inclusion, Innovation, and Teamwork, we strive to make the sport accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

All donations to USTA Northern are fully tax-deductible and directly support our mission to grow the game and strengthen our communities.
