Supporting the incredible mission of Animal Aid and touching the lives of all the cats, dogs, and humans our programs support.
Animal Aid of Portland enhances the welfare of companion animals through individualized care and lifelong commitment, rescue and adoption, resources and education, and community partnerships. We operate a free-roam shelter for cats; a foster program for dogs and cats; a community-driven animal care supply sharing program called It Takes a Pack; and the Animal Aid Cares Fund, a partnership with local veterinarians, behaviorists, and trainers to offer funding for urgent medical or behavioral care.

- We do not have a set dress code but guests often wear casual - semi formal attire.
What type of food will be served?
- In keeping with our animal friendly policy, all of the food will be vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options as well.
What kind of drinks will be available?
- We will have signature cocktails available, as well as beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options. Your ticket includes 2 drink tickets.
Will there be assigned seats/tables?
- Yes! When you check in, you will be assigned a table. When purchasing your tickets, you have the option to note who you would like to sit with. We will do our best to accommodate those requests!
What are the funds being raised for?
- All of the funds raised tonight help us to continue our mission and support our programs and day to day operations. Our #1 expense if the care of the cats and dogs in our shelter and foster homes. Your contributions allow us to care for everything from their daily basics, medications for diabetes and hyperthyroidism, to dentals, knee surgery, behavioral support, spay/neuter, and lots in between. Supporting our programs and operations allows these critters to get the help they need to be their best selves and find that purrfect furever home.
What is the schedule? Do I have to stay the whole time?
- Doors open at 5pm for Yappy Hour - an opportunity for tarot readings, aura photos and perusing the silent auction tables. The full program of the evening will begin at 6pm with introductions from our fabulous host, Poison Waters and the buffet line opening up. Guests are welcome to come at 5pm or at 6pm. The silent auction will close at 8:40pm and the raffle winner will be drawn at 9pm. You do not need to be present to win the raffle prize so if you wish to collect your auction items and leave early, you are welcome to do so!
Can I participate in the silent auction if I am not at the event?
- The silent auction is only available to guests who are attending the event. This year we are bringing back paper bids so you can enjoy the thrill of watching those bid sheets and making sure you get your name down for the final bid!
Can I bring my dog?
- Due the number of people who will be attending and the number of activities taking place over the course of the evening, we would ask that you please leave your furry friends at home.
