2026 CYC March Madness Event

6-11 p.m. @ The Westmoreland Club 

in Wilkes-Barre

For more than 75 years, the Catholic Youth Center in Wilkes-Barre has been a home away from home for scores of children. Now, more than ever, specialized programming at the CYC is a critical component in the lives of our young people as they journey through their childhood and teenage years. Whether they make use of our 24 hour-a-day childcare center, drop-in program for teenagers, respite sessions to give their caregivers a break, or are enrolled in our Keystone Star 4 preschool or play in a sports league, they know CYC will always be here for them.

Our 2026 March Madness event will take place from 6 p.m. until 11 p.m. Saturday, March 28th, at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Barre. Guests can expect a grand yet laid-back atmosphere complete with fun, festive, sports-themed food and drinks, exciting basketball games and an online silent auction. The spirit of March Madness will be everywhere as we turn the Westmoreland Club tent into NEPA's best sports bar. As guests arrive, they will be greeted by waitstaff dressed in black and white basketball referee uniforms. The Elite Eight basketball games will be broadcast on large screens throughout the venue.

The online auction will open at noon on Wednesday, March 25th, and close at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 28th. More than 100 items with a total value of more than $25,000 will be up for bid. Bidders do not need to attend the event to place bids.
