Because every step in their shoes brings survivors closer to safety....

Heels. Humor. Heart.
Join the Crisis Center of Comal County for one of the boldest and most entertaining nights in New Braunfels. Walk a Mile in Her Shoes™ is back—with a twist!
Our version of the internationally recognized event features a high-heeled foot race, not a mile-long stroll. It's a lighthearted way to tackle a heavy issue: sexual assault and domestic violence. Every awkward step, every cheer from the crowd, and every dollar raised helps support survivors in our community.
Why We “Walk”
This event may make you laugh—but its purpose is powerful. By stepping (and sprinting) into heels, participants bring attention to the very real experiences of survivors. The funds raised directly support the Crisis Center of Comal County’s work: providing emergency shelter, advocacy, counseling, and education.
Together, we’re turning awareness into action.
Ways to Get Involved
Be a Walker (Only 25 Spots Available)
As a Walker, you’ll commit to more than just racing in heels:
(Note: When registering, sponsorship options appear first—scroll to “Individual Tickets” to sign up as a Walker.)
Attend the Event
Not racing? Come enjoy the show. With food, drinks, music, and tons of community spirit, it’s the perfect night out for a powerful cause. Tickets include event entry; food and beverages will be available for purchase from Krause’s Café.
Sponsor or Underwrite
Support the cause while promoting your business. Sponsorships and underwriting opportunities help cover event costs—like lighting, sound, signage, and more—so every additional dollar raised goes directly to client services.
The Power of Showing Up
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes™ is not just an event—it’s a movement. Whether you’re racing in heels, cheering from the sidelines, or sponsoring from behind the scenes, you’re standing with survivors and helping to create a safer Comal County.
Every wobble counts.
Every dollar fuels healing.
Every step brings hope.
We’ll see you at Krause’s on September 16.
Let’s walk, race, strut—and stand together.
