Come have a drink at KTM&HC!
Back for a third year in a row, History on Tap is a fun and casual evening of beverage tastings, delicious food, and live programming. Attendees can learn about and sample some of the best locally made alcoholic drinks the state has to offer: see what’s on tap from Nod Hill Brewery (Ridgefield), Counter Weight Brewing Co. (Cheshire), Litchfield Distillery (Litchfield), and Bergen House Meadery (Middletown). Pair tastings with delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches and sides from Melt Mobile, a local food truck and perennial KTM&HC favorite.
The evening will also feature exclusive live discussions: KTM&HC Operations Associate Ish Gupta will explore the historical intersections of taverns and music in the 18th and 19th centuries; and KTM&HC Chief Curator Catherine Prescott and historian Mary Tsaltas-Ottomanelli, hosts of the popular Taproom Tastings virtual series, will chat about historic tavern drink trends and lead a historical drink-making demonstration.
Guests will also have special access to our exhibit #HandsOnHistory: Threading the Needle, which brings historic textile-making practices to life through activities that encourage visitors to “Please Touch!”
All proceeds benefit KTM&HC’s mission-driven work. Tickets are $65 each and include unlimited tastings, coupons for food, a limited edition KTM&HC-branded glass, and access to all programming. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
