This Ugly Dinner by Farina's Michael Smith will feature a four course meal with imperfect produce, as well as cocktail and wine pairings.

Food Waste is an ugly but fixable problem...

Every year millions of pounds of produce is sent to the landfill simply because of cosmetic flaws or surplus product. That’s where Kanbe’s Markets comes in. By working directly with local wholesalers we are able to rescue thousands on pounds of produce every week. 

The Ugly Dinner Series is a seven dinner series in partnership with some of Kansas City’s best chefs to bring you a four course dinner featuring Kanbe’s imperfect produce. Watch misshapen carrots, deformed potatoes, tiny strawberries and more be transformed into a beautiful meal. 

Kanbe’s Markets has a goal of rescuing a million pounds of produce in 2023 and proceeds from tickets to this dinner help fund these efforts.
