CELEBRITY: BETSY CALLAHAN
Betsy Callahan is a native Hoosier and a lifelong student of dance. She took her first lesson at seven and is still continuing to take dance lessons at the age of fifty-eight. She graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas with a bachelor’s degree in business and a minor in ballroom dance.
She met her husband Jim when they were in junior high school. He is currently a neurosurgeon with Community Hospital Anderson. Together they started the bike helmet program for Community Hospital Anderson’s Bike Rodeo and are sponsors for Keith Trent’s Coats for Caring. Jim and Betsy have three grown sons and four very lovable grandchildren.
Betsy is thrilled to be here to help raise money for the Paramount Theatre and to share her joy of dance with you.
PROFESSIONAL: ADAM TROGDLEN
Adam Trogdlen began teaching in 2007 with Arthur Murray and is now proudly teaching at ABC Ballroom in Noblesville. He specializes in teaching beginner dancers and West Coast Swing. In his dancing career, he has had the opportunity to train and dance with top professionals in all dances across the country. He has had the honor to teach professional athletes including NBA All Stars and IndyCar drivers. Adam has competed numerous times in both the Hamilton County Meals on Wheels’ Dancing with Our Stars and the Paramount Theatre’s Dancing Like the Stars. This is his seventh year participating in this event at the Paramount. He relishes any opportunity to use his dance knowledge and training for such great community causes.
