5 - Herman Miller Summer Picnic Sweet Corn Festival Poster by Steve Frykholm

This delightful poster is the first in the Herman Miller Summer Picnic series created by the company’s illustrious graphic designer Steve Frykholm. This 1970 picnic poster was one of Frykholm’s first assignments with Herman Miller after joining the company earlier that year. The unveiling of Frykholm’s whimsical company picnic posters became a much anticipated event at Herman Miller and it all began with this vintage original 1970 first in the series poster. The posters are so highly regarded as exceptional examples of graphic design and pop art that the collection is now a permanent part of MoMA.
