Mary Chaudhry, an Aspiring Internal Medicine Resident from Midwestern University AZCOM, proposes a preventative health and wellness program for South Asian and immigrant adults at the Hamdard Center’s Adult Program in Chicago. The project will focus on chronic disease education, preventive healthcare access including cancer screenings and specialty care at RUSH CURE (ophthalmology, ENT, and orthopedics), and mental health awareness through peer-led wellness activities such as painting, calligraphy, and crocheting. These efforts aim to increase access to care, promote healthier lifestyles, and empower participants to manage their health through improved health literacy. Mary seeks to raise $1,200 for supplies, educational materials, transportation support, and honoraria for community speakers.
