This unique shadowing opportunity places you beside Dr. Nelms, Chief of Vascular Surgery at University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center (UM BWMC). You'll gain behind-the-scenes insight into one of medicine’s most complex and critical specialties, observing the surgical and endovascular treatment of life-threatening vascular conditions.

A Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery and a leader in his field, Dr. Nelms has dedicated his career to bringing the highest level of vascular care to the community, bridging the gap between academic medicine and clinical excellence at the local level.
