Celebrating 100 years of The Valero Texas Open! In 2022 The Valero Texas Open was able to celebrate their 100th year as a PGA TOUR tournament, making it the 3rd oldest tournament on the PGA TOUR. As part of the celebratory initiatives, The Valero Texas Open was able to work alongside sportswriter and author Kevin Robbins to tell the story of the Texas Open from it's origins to present day in "It's Been a Journey: The True Story of the Oldest Golf Tournament in Texas". Additionally, The Valero Texas Open also commissioned a commemorative painting by Graeme Baxter BEM, an official artist for both The Ryder Cup, The Open Championship, The Presidents Cup, WGC events, The Players, The Southern Cup, and many more.
