Yubal Márquez Fleites is a passionate artist, award-winning curator, photographer, gallerist and poet. His work can be described as an in depth interpretation and reflection of the day to day realities, pondering upon the constant changes and challenges that we face as individuals and as a society; his work has been exhibited in highly respected institutions, including The Long Island Museum as well as multiple International and National exhibitions and galleries. He is the Founder of YMF - Contemporary & Fine Art , the Southampton based contemporary art gallery whose mission is to support and empower artists, promoting creativity and cultural awareness through collective collaboration. He has also owned Galleries in Miami and Puerto Rico and has represented and worked with artists from all over the globe including Argentina, Colombia, Cuba, Denmark, Dominican Republic, Dubai, El Salvador, France, Germany, Italy, New York, Miami, Mexico, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, Venezuela, among many others. Yubal holds a degree in Marketing from the Univeristy of Puerto Rico, a Juris Doctors from the InterAmerican University of Puerto Rico. He has been the recipient of the prestigious UNESCO Distinguished Youth Award for his achievements in the Arts and Creative Production, and was also recognized by former President George Bush with the Presidential Academical Fitness Award. He is also a decorated US ARMY Veteran, who as Member of the JAG Corps, helped mobilize troops during Operation Enduring Freedom. He lives and works in Southampton, New York.
