The Henry O. Bollman House was designed by Lloyd Wright (Frank Lloyd Wright Jr.) in 1922 and constructed by his close friend Henry Bollman. This officially designated City of Los Angeles Cultural Historic Monument #235 served as a testing ground for the use of decorative concrete block. In the two years that followed the design of this house, the Wrights—father and son—developed the famous textile block houses in Los Angeles. Despite being neglected over the years, the house is currently undergoing restoration to bring back the original textile blocks, which have not been seen since the 1930s. Join us for a private tour and scotch tasting for up to 6 people. We will explore the house, discuss its history, and dive into the restoration process. The scotch tasting will focus on Islay and Jure whisky, both peated and unpeated from a collection of over 500 different bottles.
