Sitting on 300 acres of maritime forest in the heart of Southern Shores, Duck Woods Country Club is the perfect venue for golf, tennis and social events. It provides services, programs, facilities and family-oriented activities that cater to all ages.
Duck Woods is the Outer Banks’ only full service country club, and it boasts an Ellis Maples designed golf course that’s “meticulously maintained” and offers “spectacular views.” The course was honored with Golf Digest’s “Best Place to Play” designation for 2008-2009.
The Golf Operation is led by PGA Head Professional, Scott Wasco. The Professional Staff has excellent credentials in golf instruction, along with PGA tournament experience.
The Duck Woods’ Professional Shop offers a unique shopping experience with artistically displayed merchandise, departmentalized for a comfortable shopping experience. Labels include Holderness & Bourne, Turtleson, Zero Restriction Ladies, Straightdown Ladies, Fairway & Green Ladies, Foot-Joy, JL The Brand, The Winston Collection, Smathers & Branson, and Callaway, with a wide selection of apparel, equipment and accessories.
Duck Woods’ members and their guests enjoy a wide variety of golf activities including tournaments and special events, individual and group instruction (including playing lessons), men’s and ladies’ associations & recreational golf groups, couples golf, beginner women's programs, fun-filled junior programs, and much more. Home & away events are held in partnership with other facilities in the area.
