¤ NCSU Introduction
A medium sized specimen shrub. Big summer flowers look like a deep red magnolias. Blooms over a long period. Flowers are fragrant but not all the time. The scent varies based on the age of the bloom, the time of day, and the flower itself. People have used terms like pineapple, apple, and bubblegum to describe the scent. Blooms on old and new wood.
