Joan Saba is a Buffalo artist primarily known for painting flowers- traditional realism in oil. Each year she digresses from my love of flowers in the still life, and paints the interesting architecture, houses, and outdoor markets of Buffalo. Using watercolor to tightly paint the details, she enjoys the discipline the perspective and angles command me to observe. According to Joan, “Guercio’s Market on Grant St has been my longtime favorite store to visit, meeting all of the qualifications I believe make a strong visual statement.  A shopper's delight, it is a classic from the past, beautiful inside and out.”
