NEW ZEALAND RED STAG HUNT
SOUTH ISLAND RED STAG HUNTING EXPERIENCE FOR ONE ACCOMPANIED BY A TOURING GUEST
Your hunting adventure takes place within the stunning landscape of New Zealand's South Island. The land is teeming with giant red stag boasting 500-pound bodies and racks that consistently reach 380 inches. The breathtaking, wide-open hunting terrain also offers world-class Himalayan Tahr, New Zealand Chamois, Bull Elk, Arapawa Ram, Fallow Deer, Turkey, and Fly Fishing.
This package is for one (1) hunter and one (1) touring guest. The hunter will leave the lodge by 4x4 truck or Polaris Ranger then hunt on foot. You can choose firearm or archery (Firearms can be provided). Hunter will be able to shoot a 340 - 380 class Red Stag. Hunters not physically able to hunt on foot will be accommodated with notice. Accommodations will be a lodge or guest house depending on the hunting area.
Southern Alps Trophy Hunting will design a hunting/sightseeing trip to best suit their clients. The touring guests will have excursions tailored to their wishes. Sight seeing excursions can include glaciers, beaches, mountains, central lakes, Mt. Cook, shopping, fly fishing, etc.
Dates are for the 2025 season, March - June. New Zealand is in the southern hemisphere, so the best hunting is March and April, (mild) which is the equivalent of our September and October. May - July (cold/snow).
This package includes 4 days and 5 nights, guiding, home cooked meals, beverages, transportation to and from the airport in Christchurch, NZ, as well as field care of your trophy animal. Extra hunters and non-hunters can always be accommodated. Add on hunting opportunities: Additional Red Stag - from $5500, upgrades to larger Red Stags available. Himalayan Tahr - $5500, New Zealand Chamois - $5500, Elk (Wapiti) - from $5500, Ram and Goat - $1200, Fallow Buck - $4500, - Extra hunters are $550 per day.
Not Included: Trophy expediting, preparation, shipping, and taxidermy costs,
firearms license and import permit, (the use of their rifles is included if you choose
not to bring your own) airline tickets, passport, and visa expenses.
