Ambassador wolf Rieka’s undercoat fur was handspun, single plied with vintage 50% wool and 50% silk weaving yarn. The skein is 21 yards, dark to light worsted; 11 grams. 

About the Artist: Chillon Leach is a professional self-employed visual artist and illustrator by day, and a fiber spinning and knitting enthusiast in her spare time, alone or with others. She is the coordinator for the International Wolf Center volunteer spinners/artisans using IWC ambassador wolves' naturally shed undercoat fur; this is their 7th year of participating in the Wolf Care Auction fundraiser!  They have made over 700 items and raised over $67,000!
