About STEVE WITUCKI, the Artist
One of the most prolific Artists you could have ever met. He excelled in the creation of his paintings, however, painting wasn't the totality of his abilities. He also did many murals, etched on glass, pen and ink and in his spare time he also would be seen building his own frames for his paintings.
He lived on a small farm outside of Millersburg, Michigan as a child. He was already developing his talents as an artist by the time he graduated from high school. He started sailing shortly after. With all the idle time while on board, it gave him time to fall in love with the Great Lakes, in love with the stories of the sea, the people who sailed and many of the tragedies that were encountered. This gave him inspiration which he replicated in his paintings. Paintings of the Edmund Fitzgerald, Daniel J. Morrell, Cedarville and many others which were brought to life with his brush.
