Drawn on location in the low country of Hilton Head Island, the evening light of this marsh scene is captured in quick, gestural strokes of brown ink and luminous watercolor.

I enjoy painting and drawing on location in nature.  It gives me an opportunity to respond directly to the effects of light, air and weather.
