The story begins at ground zero.

The Horse Soldier Bourbon story is woven into the fabric of one of America’s most historic moments. Just days after 9/11, elite teams of Green Berets were inserted into Afghanistan, some on horseback. Dubbed the “Horse Soldiers”, their exploits were retold in the Hollywood blockbuster 12 strong, the CNN documentary legion of brothers, and memorialized by America’s Response Monument located at Ground Zero in New York City.

Our award-winning Reserve Barrel Strength Bourbon Whiskey is extraordinarily complex with notes of butterscotch, oak, and stone fruits. This barrel strength “wheated” bourbon is made from small batches of meticulously blended mature bourbon and non-chill filtered to provide a full-bodied and decadent finish.

It was a Double Gold Medal Winner at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.

MASH BILL 70% Corn; Yellow Dent 2, 20% Wheat; soft red winter, 10% Barley; two row, combination distillers malt and base two row. Water from limestone aquifers carefully filtered for purity. Grain, water, yeast and wood without additives or artificial colors.

TASTING/NOSE Caramel, honey, butterscotch, woodiness, cashew and spiced raisin with a hint of toffee. A deep inhale provides the nose sweet aromas with honey, apples, citrus, toffee and leather.
