'Sweet Tea' is an intergeneric cross between our native Franklinia and Gordonia, a distant Chinese relative (Thomas Ranney, Ph.D.). Huge, white flowers with yellow stamens look like big fried eggs. A tea family member with sweet fragrant flowers, it comes from the South, where sweet tea runs in our veins.
