This is a seed-grown plant from a hybrid swarm of Asclepias lanceolata and A. rubra. The flowers in this population range from pink to purple to brick red and every shade in between. We have been mesmerized by the incredible variety of flower colors in the several hybrid swarms we have run across lately and because this is a seed grown plant that has not yet flowered there is no telling what you may have here! These hybrids are rare and both parents are rarely seen in gardens. We have found this to grow well in bog gardens or in other moist, sunny locations where there is no chance they will go dry.
