This selection from seed from Tamaulipas, Mexico has a yellow center and a wide green margin was found in 2007 and has been slow to multiply for us. This rarely offered selection is sure to be a winner in someone's variegated Agave collection. This species occurs from 7500 to 9000 ft elevation in the Sierra Madre Oriental in Northeastern Mexico and is quite tolerant of cool conditions, but this selection hasn't proven to be hardy in our 7b climate here, where a green sport from it has been hardy to at least 11F.
