A private tour at Kualoa Ranch Hawaii, Kane‘ohe, HI
This private 3-hour UTV ride-along tour will take you through the land stewardship divisions of the ranch property where you can get up close and intimate with Native Hawaiian plant restoration sites. Not only will you see many of the famous movie site spots, but you’ll also get a narrated tour, riding along with your guide. Besides seeing the amazing Hakipuʻu and Ka‘aʻawa “Jurassic” Valley, you’ll contribute to revitalizing our Hawaiian forests by planting a vital native tree: the native Koa.
You’ll ride along with your own guide … and just your party of four, in an open-air UTV Raptor vehicles. During the 3 hours, you’ll learn a lot about Kualoa’s stewardship efforts in restoring native plants throughout Kualoa’s 4000 acre private nature reserve. In addition, you’ll be able to take pictures and see many of the most famous movie site areas … from some of the 200+ Hollywood movies and TV shows filmed here since Elvis in the 1950s! At the end of your tour, you’ll be able to plant and help reforest the beautiful, native koa. Koa wood had many uses for the Hawaiian people … from being used for the canoes, to bowls and platters for food, as well as decorative purposes. It is considered the most prized Hawaiian wood for its amazing grain and colorations. Youʻll not only have some fun, take lots of pictures and see a beautiful private nature reserve, but you’ll be doing some good … and giving back a little to help keeping these lands preserved for future generations to enjoy.
