Hop on a Cure Raffle Package + Danny Kahn Autographed bottles of (1) Buffalo Trace, (1) Blanton’s, (1) Weller special reserve
The Buffalo Trace Distillery is located in the picturesque town of Frankfort, Kentucky and is the oldest
continually operating distillery in America, is a beautiful National Historic Landmark and arguably the
producer of some of the most coveted bourbons available today!
The winner of this bid will receive the following, none of which are available to the public:
- Complete, behind the scenes tour for up to five people, led by the Master Distiller, Distillation
and Aging Operations Director, Danny Kahn. This tour will cover the entire distillation process
from grain receiving, through milling, mashing, distillation, and barrel operations.
- Private tasting session lead by Danny Kahn where the lucky participants will be able to taste and
learn about how bourbon is created, how it ages and how flavors develop as a result of the
ingredients, and as the bourbon matures. This tasting will include several in process samples to
demonstrate these learnings that are not available to the public.
- Including in this tasting will be several of our very special library expressions that are available,
but nearly impossible to find, e.g., Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, rare E.H. Taylor expressions,
Charter Oak series, Experimental Collection etc.
- Process overview/whiskey education as part of the taste session and tour – this can be as basic
or technical/scientific as the participant’s desire.
The session will last anywhere from two to four hours, depending on the participants needs and desires.
The date of the tour and tasting to be booked by June 15, 2023, and will be coordinated between the
winning bidder and Danny Kahn and must be redeemed by September 30, 2023. It can be done any day
of the week, but M-F will be difficult. Early Saturday is encouraged to get ahead of the normal tours and
the participants will still have time to do other sight-seeing while in Kentucky.
