Choose what you'd like to learn and make the most of your 2 sessions!  Want to improve your technique?  Need to prepare for an audition?  Both?  Bob’s one hour private sessions cover technique, audition and performance preparation, including emotional and presentational approaches to all material. Bob's technique through exercises include focus on strain-free vocals, breathing, expanding the range, voice placement and vocal stamina. The hour begins with exercises which markedly better your voice on a daily basis. The rest of the session is devoted to working on audition material and/or honing in on upcoming performances. 

Bob’s audition work includes the mastering of five songs: A Broadway uptempo and ballad, a contemporary uptempo and ballad, and a comedy piece. The work includes choice of material, as well as technical, emotional, and choreographic approaches. Bob chooses unique material that will not be performed by others at auditions. The five song repertoire, will guarantee that you will no longer be looking for material and working on it days before an audition. Classes also cover microphone technique, studio recording, and working through performance nerves.

Bob’s approach to audition and performance pieces guarantee a memorable visual and listening experience for any audience.

BOB GARRETT BIO:
Bob began studying voice at age thirteen with world famous teachers Rose Allen, and Sue Seaton, whose students included Pavarotti, Audrey Hepburn, Donna Summer, Dick Van Dyke, Bernadette Peters, and many, many others. In 1990, they deemed Bob, the only person ever so designated, to teach their technique.

A Broadway veteran himself, Bob has vocal coached countless clients in all phases of show business for the last 25 years. His client list includes Austin Butler, Katy Perry, Channing Tatum, Drew Barrymore, Jane Fonda, Elle Fanning, Gerard Butler, Jessica Lange, Vanessa Hudgens, Rebel Wilson, Big Time Rush, Kathy Bates, Cameron Diaz, Loretta Devine, Lesley Ann Warren, Hamish Linklater, Wilson-Philips,  America Ferrera,  Cybill Shepherd, AMERICAN IDOL contestants, Brian Stokes Mitchell,  for “ME AND MY SHADOWS: LIFE WITH JUDY GARLAND,” Emmy winners, Judy Davis and Tammy Blanchard and countless others.

Bob’s vocal coaching on current feature films also includes the soon-to-be-released “Teen Spirit” with Elle Fanning, “Valley Girl- the Musical” with Joshua Whitehouse and “The Book Club” with Jane Fonda and Diane Keaton. Work on past films includes,  “Grey Gardens” “The Vow”, “Phantom of the Opera,” “Me and My Shadows: Life with Judy Garland”,  “Lucky You,” et al.

Bob teaches private classes and his students currently grace the Billboard charts and the stages of every musical currently running on Broadway.
