Hawk Walk

Witness the wonder of a Master Class Falconer and his partner, a bird of prey, meandering through the countryside.  Experience wild and wonderful West Virginia in a way that not many get to witness!  We will start off first with an introduction to get to know your host, the Laurel Fork Falconer and his raptor.  Safety-first tips will come next. Then, we are off on our excursion with a majestic bird of prey following through the treetops overhead!!  Along the way you will learn about the ancient sport of falconry, the natural history of birds of prey, the ecology of raptors and how these amazing birds contribute to their habitat.  There will be ample opportunities to capture unique photographs during the hike and when the hike is completed there will be a photo opportunity with the falconer and bird.  The excursion can be catered to your hiking experience, so it is perfect for all ages.

Note: Available September - April.  Because this is an outdoor experience, be sure to dress appropriately. Inclement weather may cause cancellations.
