Live Oak, Natural & Dyed wood veneers, clear & dyed lacquer. Goldman and Johnson use fine art wood marquetry, to paint with wood, using very thin wood veneer. After researching Texas Wildflowers, they selected those that would have the most colorful impact against the rich and busy figure of the Live Oak. They chose to leave the cracks in the wood rather than filling them, because they are part of the story of this historic tree. As a collaborative art duo who specialize in murals and 3-dimensional art pieces with an emphasis on fine art wood marquetry, we excel on custom projects and enjoy working with clients to achieve the best outcome: exciting, dramatic art.
