When the USGA brought the 2017 Walker Cup Match to The Los Angeles Country Club’s North Course, many in the outside world finally got a glimpse of this George C. Thomas gem. The 2023 U.S. Open will tee off at The Los Angeles Country Club for the first time ever.
With its origin beginning in 1897, The Los Angeles Country Club has come a long way from the makeshift clubhouse at the bottom of an abandoned windmill. This club has served as the site of the 46th Walker Cup Match and the second Walker Cup Match ever played in California.
