The most translated work by the Ukrainian national poet Taras Shevchenko (1814-1861) is his short poem 'Zapovit' ('Testament').
His poem “Zapovit” is so well known in Ukraine that it is second only to Ukraine's national anthem.
Written in 1845, many composers have written more than 60 musical interpretations of the poem.
This version was embroidered in Ukraine and is framed in a floating frame. It can easily be removed from the frame.
