CELEBRITIES: ANDY OCH, MICHAEL STOTTELMYER & RICHARD BARKER
Hello, my name is Andy Och, and this is my first-year teaching at APA. I am currently instructing Algebra I and Geometry at the school. I graduated high school from Bishop Chatard in 2017, earned my bachelor’s degrees in 2022 from Ball State. I live with my fiancé, Natalie, and our dog, Lady. We love doing everything together and be able to enjoy one another’s company. Outside of all of that, I am a big nerd with a love for all sorts of genres of music, film, and games.
My name is Michael Stottlemyer and I have taught high school math at Anderson Preparatory Academy going on four years now. I graduated high school from APA in 2015, earned my bachelor’s degree in 2019 from IUPUI, and earned my master’s degree in educational leadership from Marian University in 2022. Outside of teaching, I enjoy going to sporting events, star gazing, being outside, and traveling. The Paramount Theatre has a been special place throughout my life with my family and friends, so that’s why I am participating so future generations can enjoy the facility for years to come.
My name is Richard Barker, and I am in my seventh of year teaching HS Math at APA. I earned my BS in Music Education from Indiana State University and am currently pursuing my MS in Mathematics at USI. I have played the trumpet for 28 years and have had the opportunity to perform with many ensembles throughout this time. I have been married to my college sweetheart and best friend Jill for 19 years. We live in Anderson and have two incredible sons, Neo and Parrish, who are both college freshman.
PROFESSIONAL: NATASHA COX
NATASHA COX has been teaching ballroom and Latin dancing for over thirteen years now. She specializes in dances such as the foxtrot, waltz, tango, rhumba, cha cha, swing, merengue, salsa, bachata, and more. She has had personal training and coaching sessions from John Berry (world champion dancer), Raphael Cologne (world champion dancer), Ana Maria Chacon, Wilson Barrera, Elizabeth Cartier, and other world-renowned coaches over the years.
Natasha choreographs for the musical theatre of C.G. Fine Arts Academy, with the most recent musicals this year being Cinderella and A Secret Garden. While being on the stage since she was a child, she has also done backstage work for the Phoenix Theatre along with other theatres. Natasha grew up in the world of theatre, music and dance. Going from playing different instruments, to being the band director, she is well adversed in music and rhythm. She also teaches yoga, receiving her 200hr yoga teaching certification in Costa Rica and her 500hr certification in Greece.
This is Natasha’s sixth year dancing in Anderson’s Paramount Dancing Like the Stars. She teaches private lessons in both smooth and rhythm dances for singles, couples, groups classes and for wedding couples. Her goal is not only to continue to develop in her dancing but to bring out the inner dancer in each of her students. Dancing is a way to express what is within us when there are no words created to do so.
