TAKE ACTION + STAY SAFE

3 hour Cybersecurity Essentials Workshop for your business and employees, or for you and friends and neighbors.

We rely heavily on the use of IT to conduct our day-to-day activities. Ensuring the security of our technology should be a primary concern.

This workshop provides a basic foundation in cybersecurity concepts. While there may be differences in the way federal organizations, academia, and the private sector process, store, and disseminate information within their respective systems, the basic principles of information security are applicable to all.

Workshop is offered for up to 20 participants. The target audience is non-technical individuals and/or those new to information security.

If a Lowcountry SC regional business, the workshop can take place at your training facility.

Out of area workshop may be delivered online.

The workshop can also take place on any of TCL's four campuses: Beaufort Mather Campus, Beaufort SC; Bluffton New River Campus, Bluffton, SC; Hampton Campus, Varnville, SC; or the Culinary Institute of the South, Bluffton, SC.

Workshop will be taught by Angel Kern, CISSP, CISA, MBA, M.Ed., Cybersecurity Program Director, Technical College of the Lowcountry. Angel Kern is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with more than twenty years of technology and security/risk management experience. In addition, to CISA and CISSP certifications she holds Cisco, CompTIA A+ and Net+ certifications.

Certificate expires 12/31/2023.
