Perhaps this painting should be titled “On the Way to the Transfer Station” as it is a representation of what I saw one Saturday on my way to do my recycling! The painting itself is from memory and I’ve taken a few artistic liberties, but for me, it represents one of those pinch-me moments, when I realize how lucky I am to live in this beautiful state.

Gina Ottoboni is a (mostly) self-taught artist who works primarily in oil. She lives in Chittenden, VT, and loves to capture the beauty of nature in her paintings and photographs, although she takes forays into the realm of abstract art as well. Gina also teaches history, political science, and sundry other topics at the Community College of Vermont. She has volunteered on snow in the past, but admits she’s a better artist than skier!
