Learn to make a pahi kaua the ʻUmi Kai way! Learn about traditional design and function complete with ʻaha (coconut sennit) cordage on the handle. The long dagger is made from the bill (nuku) of a broadbill swordfish (aʻu kū). Pahi kaua (pahi = knife; kaua = war). This workshop is approximately 2 to 2.5 hours long, and you’ll leave with a completed pahi kaua.
