Private GO & Grow! Keiki Party

Keiki, under the guidance and support of their parent, guardian or caregiver will visit six different stations to learn about important ingredients to grow your own plant. Each keiki will learn about what a plant needs to grow and thrive, learn the basic parts of a plant, and take home their own planted seed of a native plant found in Nā Ulu Kaiwiʻula, Bishop Museum’s own native garden. As the plant begins to sprout and grow, keiki (and their ʻohana) have the option to continue growing their plant at home and transplanting it into the ground or returning the plant to the Museum—where we would share it with our partners who are actively involved in landscape restoration activities and / or plant the young plant on the Museum campus.

The group will also receive a tour through the Nā Ulu Kaiwiʻula Hawaiian Garden to learn more about plants of Hawaiʻi, some found nowhere else in the world and others brought for food, medicines, and materials. Museum admission also included for the full group to enjoy the full day at the Museum.

This experience is for a group of up to 14 people (ten (10) keiki max, with a minimum of four (4) adults).
Timing is based on availability and COVID-19 pandemic protocols.
Expires: December 31, 2022
