commUNITY for change is a night of inspired conversation and collective action for racial and gender justice hosted by YWCA Richmond’s Young Women’s Leadership Alliance.
Join us as we come together for live entertainment, interactive art, food, and a silent auction in support of YWCA Richmond. Throughout the event we hope to spark conversation focused on inspiring the next generation of emerging leaders to become change agents for racial and gender justice.
Parking Day of Event
There is a free parking garage directly under the VA War Memorial building that has space for approximately 175 vehicles. Access to the garage is located on South 1st Street/Rowe Street. Street parking is also available on those two streets. Entry to the building is on Lobby Floor at the Main Entrance and can be accessed from Rowe Street and the elevator in the parking garage.

Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided at the event. Please note this is a 21+ event and IDs will be checked at the door. Ticket sales are non-refundable, but are transferrable in the event you cannot attend.

Interactive Art and Wine Pull
Pull Your Own Screen Print
Courtney Mills of Lakeside Print Co, and fellow YWLA member, has designed the below one-of-a-kind screen print for commUNITY for Change.
All guests will receive an 8.5x11 screen print as a thank you for attending the event. For just $25 you can join in on the fun and pull your own special edition gold screen print between 6PM - 8PM. Only 25 prints will be pulled! Visit the Interactive Art table for more information!
Get Your Wine On
A wine pull is a drawing for wine at a fundraising event. Bottles of various brands and blends are wrapped so that guests cannot see the label. Guests can purchase a bottle of wine for $25, 2 for $45, or 3 for $60. Unwrap your bottle of wine to see if you won! Participants could walk away with one of the bottles below!
