On September 24, 2024, the Verma Foundation will host CAPWALK NYC Fashion Show, featuring cancer survivors escorted down the runway by FOX 5 NY on-air personalities, New York athletes and celebrities. Guests can enjoy a lounge-style reception at the beautiful and dynamic Lavan Chelsea centrally located in the heart of Chelsea, New York with with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, a silent auction and premier raffle. The event will culminate with a fashion show with styles by the iconic Nicole Miller and the foundation’s custom real hair cap wigs.
Proceeds will go towards our program to make and give real hair cap wigs to cancer patients - completely free of cost. With the purchase of a ticket, you can help change the life of a woman or child battling cancer.
The Verma Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to giving free real-hair cap wigs to women and children battling cancer and dealing with the emotional side effects of hair loss. After our co-founder and 9NEWS morning anchor Natasha Verma was diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2017, our foundation came together to launch the "Put A Cap On Cancer" program which has provided more than 3,000 cap wigs to date.
