About Verity

Verity began providing services in 1974 with a handful of volunteers and a vision to reach people in Sonoma County who experienced sexual violence. Today our program includes Prevention Education, Crisis Intervention, Advocacy, and Counseling. 

Verity is the sole Rape Crisis, Trauma & Healing Center with the only 24/7 Sexual Assault Crisis Line in Sonoma County. Our crisis line is staffed by certified sexual assault counselors. We offer individual, couple, and family counseling in addition to our support groups. These counseling services are open to all individuals who have experienced trauma as well as their family, friends and significant others. Our diverse, custom-designed prevention curricula are available to youth ages 5-20, adults, and agencies. We are proud to offer our services in both English and Spanish. All services are offered free of charge. Verity is a 501(c)3 non-profit agency relying solely on grants and donations.

Fund-A-Need

There are many ways in which your donation can directly support survivors as well as provide outreach and prevention/education throughout our community. Here is a list of just a few!

•  Relocation and establishing housing for one month for a human trafficking survivor

•  Rent and utilities for two months for a sexual assault or human trafficking survivor

•  Fund Verity's Prevention/Education team to present at one high school (approximately 1350 students) in Sonoma County

•  Rent and utilities for a month for a sexual assault or human trafficking survivor

•  One semester of partial tuition for Sonoma State University and all books and learning needs for a human trafficking survivor 

•  Vehicle repair to provide reliable transportation for a sexual assault survivor

•  Fund Verity's Prevention/Education team to present at one middle school (approximately 700 students) in Sonoma County

•  Provide self-care opportunity for human trafficking survivor including wardrobe, hair, nails and toiletries

•  Fund Verity's Prevention/Education team to present at any one elementary school (approximately 350 youth) in Sonoma County
