The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Last Christmas, The Salvation Army served more than 2,500 Kansas City families, giving them help & hope for a Merry Christmas. More 11,000 gifts were put under the Christmas trees. 4,200 food boxes provided a holiday meal and pantry staples to feed their family through the holiday break. And on Thanksgiving & Christmas Day, volunteers served and delivered more than 2,100 meals. As we enter the 2023 Christmas season, we know that nearly 61% of Americans are currently living paycheck to paycheck, which means The Salvation Army is expecting increased requests for assistance. Christmas is an especially critical time.
