The Campus Y at WashU develops student leaders who transform their passion into meaningful community engagement. The Campus Y is an incubation space where passionate students design, create and lead student service programs, receiving adult and peer guidance to ensure programs are informed, sensitive and responsive with regard to community strengths and needs.
About Throwback Prom
Community- Join us as we bring together more than 200 individuals, including Washington University leadership, students, alumni, and friends from the St. Louis community. Everyone deserves a night out, and we hope you will treat yourself with tickets to Throwback Prom 2024!
Nostalgia- A live DJ creates a vibrant atmosphere celebrating nostalgia through the decades, keeping the dance floor bustling all night long. Guests dress up in their finest retro prom attire or an outfit in line with the prom's theme. All while we celebrate a future made brighter by Campus Y student leaders
Silent Auction- We invite you to bid in our silent auction, a central highlight of the evening, whether or not you can attend. The auction link will go live in the weeks leading up to the event. Mission Moment- Our dedicated Campus Y students will lead a mission moment, allowing attendees to witness the impact of their contributions firsthand. The event will also feature a fund-a-need paddle raiser, further supporting the initiatives of the Campus Y and recognizing the work of our students
Prom Court- Engaging community recruits, the Prom Court fundraising challenge generates friendly competition as participants raise funds on behalf of the Campus Y. The two individuals who raise the highest amount will be crowned Prom Royalty live at the event!
Campus Y- The Campus Y is a unique collaboration between Washington University and the Gateway Region YMCA, bringing together the strengths of both organizations to foster thousands of hours of volunteerism each year. Throwback Prom is the prime fundraising event supporting the work of the Campus Y
