Auction and & Art Sale Rules

STUDIO 2020
Auction & Art Sale Rules

  1. In order to bid on and buy items in the STUDIO 2020 Art Sale & Auction, guests must register and place bids/buy through ClickBid, an online mobile bidding system. The placement of a bid/purchase in ClickBid shall constitute an express and binding offer by the bidder. Winners of accepted bids will be notified via ClickBid at the closing of the auction.
  2. All bids and purchases are FINAL.  No refunds or exchanges are permitted on items.
  3. Cranbrook Educational Community may require additional verification or other information prior to the acceptance any winning bid. Your receipt of an order confirmation from us does not signify our acceptance of your order, nor does it constitute confirmation of our offer to sell.
  4. Experiences are non-transferable and must be used by the buyer.
  5. Every effort has been made to describe items completely and accurately.  All items are auctioned AS-IS and WHERE-IS.
  6. All auction items are subject to the terms stipulated by the donors as stated in the item description or on any certificate(s) or gift cards presented to the guest upon payment.  Winner assumes all responsibility for redeeming the item within the time period specified.
  7. All items are to be used at the buyer’s discretion.  STUDIO, Cranbrook Academy of Art, Cranbrook Art Museum and their affiliates shall be held harmless from any liability resulting from the use of any winning item.
  8. Winning bidders should check out of the auction on their mobile devices at the conclusion of the sale and auction.  At that point winning bids will automatically be charged to the credit card on file with ClickBid. Should a winning bidder fail to check out at the conclusion of the auction, he or she will automatically be checked out the morning following and the credit card on file will be charged at that time.
  9. Payment via credit card through ClickBid is the highly preferred method. Should extenuating circumstances exist such that payment must be made by check, please contact aweisbrod@cranbrook.edu to make other arrangements and prevent a charge to the card on file.
  10. Pick up and/or Delivery of each item is indicated in the item description and exceptions.  Due to the limitations that have been put in place surrounding COVID-19, those items that currently reside on Cranbrook’s campus, will be made available for shipping or pick up as soon as possible in accordance with the recommendations of the CDC and Cranbrook Educational Community.
  11. Every effort will be made to ship or delivery items to buyers in a timely fashion.
  12. Sales tax is included in the price of all items.

Shipping & Delivery

Shipping and Delivery Information

Please read listings carefully to ensure that pick up, delivery, shipping is available to your location for the work you purchase.

We kindly request that buyers offer flexibility in the time frame which your art will arrive to you.  Some art is currently housed at Cranbrook Academy of Art and will not be available for pick up, delivery or shipping until campus is re-opened to the public.  In some cases, final finishes on artwork have been delayed as many students quickly left campus and returned to their homes out of state or out of the country in order to shelter in place safely and comfortably.  In some cases, shipping may be delayed by the carrier due to COVID-19.

Students and Cranbrook staff are prepared to assist as quickly as possible to ensure that buyers get their selected purchases.
