2023 Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep - Auction

EVENT DETAILS

We are excited to present the 2023 OLSM Auction on Saturday, March 18! This sold-out, in-person event features a live and silent auction, raffles, strolling dinner, beverages including beer, wine and spirits, a 360-photo booth, MC Chad Bush and more! This year’s theme is Live from St. Mary’s It’s Saturday Night, a 70’s-themed evening of music, food, friends, and fun! 

Some things to note:

  • While bell bottoms, platforms and leisure suits are optional, we do encourage everyone to join in this fun 70’s theme and dress to impress! Otherwise cocktail attire is appropriate; a Coat Check will be available.
  • Valet service will be available for your convenience. Self-parking is also available at various locations on campus including the parking lot adjacent to the Burkacki Academic Center, the Library and Dombrowski Field House.
  • Please check in at the Welcome Table upon arrival. You do not need paper tickets. Please note: This event is sold out and tickets will not be available at the door.
  • Bidding will take place online through the convenience of your own smartphone. Please be sure your phone or other electronic device is fully charged.

EVENT SCHEDULE

5:00 – 6:00 PM: VIP Reception at the Burkacki Academic Center (VIP ticket required)

6:00 – 7:00 PM: Strolling Dinner and Silent Auctions begin

7:00 – 7:45 PM: Live Auction in the Old Gym

8:00 – 10:00 PM: Silent Auctions, Onsite Raffle Drawings, School Raffle Drawing, and Dessert

10:00 PM: Auction Ends

Online bidding throughout the event, 6:00 – 10:00 p.m.

In-person event tickets are SOLD OUT! Online tickets are available through 11:59 p.m. on March 16th, and are just $25 per person. You’ll receive a bidder number and access to all of the amazing auction items online with your ticket purchase. You can also participate in the event raffles and more! BIDDING AT THE AUCTION 

Silent auction and onsite raffle items will be open for bidding on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Attendees may purchase onsite raffle item tickets here: https://cbo.io/tickets/stmarys/gala23 prior to the event start for a chance to win some amazing items! You do not need to be present at the event to win.  

  • Each couple is given the same bidder number so you only need one credit card on file per couple
  • If there is a problem with bidder numbers, please email olsmauction@gmail.com.
  • To place a bid, your bidder information must be complete in ClickBid, and you must have a credit card or PayPal set up with your bidder information. 
  • Please log in to your ClickBid profile and confirm that all of your information is complete and accurate for all bidders for which you bought a ticket.

WINNING ITEMS - PAYMENT & PICK UP 

  • Please note that if you bid on an item and win, payment is expected for the item.  Please do not bid on an item if you do not intend to win (and pay for) the item.
  • Any items that are unpaid by 11:00 PM on the evening of the event WILL be charged to the credit card on file. 
  • All credit card information is stored securely only until the end of our event, and only charged if you are the winning bidder on an item(s). 
  • All items must be paid for in ClickBid in order to take possession of your winning item.  
  • You have two (2) options for item pickup:
    • Cash out, check out, and leave with your item(s) the night of the event
    • Cash out, check out, and pick up your item(s) on Sunday, March 19th, at the Burkacki Academic Center (BAC), from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • All items must be picked up by the winner or a designated person from the BAC by Sunday, March 19th.  
  • Winning bidders of very large or very heavy items can make special arrangements for delivery by contacting Lynn Zurawski via email at lzurawski1@comcast.net or at 248-756-8384.
  • All items left without prior arrangements will be charged a handling fee to collect after the event.


ABOUT THE AUCTION

Since its founding in Detroit in 1885, Orchard Lake St, Mary’s Preparatory’s focus has been on educating youth as future leaders. This annual event is the largest live Moms and Dads Club (MDC) fundraiser of the year! Proceeds from the event enable the MDC to facilitate campus improvements and enhance the student experience. MDC activities and events include Homecoming Spirit Week, Ring Day, Staff Appreciation, Honors Convocation, Graduation and many more. Campus improvement projects recently funded by the MDC include the Dining Hall renovation, basketball courts and other athletic program improvements, bathroom and lobby upgrades, campus beautification and more.

Lastly, the Moms and Dads Club strives to engage in efforts to build community on campus by supporting volunteer projects including Adopt-a-Family and various opportunities for parents and families to come together including Concerts on the Lake, Polish Harvest, Tailgates and more. We are here to support you with any issues during the auction.  Please see the ClickBid Help section (below) before contacting support. Email us at olsmauction@gmail.com anytime. The ClickBid team will be onsite the night of the auction.

BID

  1. Click on this link for How To Bid Video.
  2. Enter www.stmarysauction.com into your browser’s address bar.
  3. On the main page, under Welcome! Login Below, enter your phone number, or email, and then tap GO.
  4. You will be required to enter a one-time login code at this point. 
    1. Your unique login code will be sent via text or email.
  5. It will then ask if you are the person who relates to the information entered.  If it is your name listed there, select  Continue. 
    1. If you do not see your personal information, select Back to Login and re-enter your bidder number to try again.
  6. If you didn’t save your credit card # at ticket purchase, you will be required to enter it now.  The cards are securely stored and only the last four digits are visible to the ClickBid staff.  Saving the cards ensures a smooth checkout process.
  7. Once completely logged in, you can search by item number, keyword, or category.
  8. The site is set to show all items by default. If you want to search for a specific item, type the item information into the Item Search at the top right of the page. To view by category, select Menu in the top left corner.
  9. To place a bid, select the Bid/Info button and choose your bid amount.
  10. Select Menu → My Items to view your activity throughout the event.

CHECKOUT

Once checkout is available, a red Pay button will appear at the top of your bidding screen. Select this button to proceed to the checkout. . If you have not already put a credit card on file, you will need to do so at this time in order to check out from your phone.  ***  For a single checkout, wait until all auction items (silent, live, appeal) have closed. ***

FAQs

  1. What browsers are best to use with ClickBid?
    • Chrome or Edge (no Safari)
  2. How do I remove a bid? Right after you place a bid, you have the option to undo on the confirmation banner at the top of the screen. Once this banner goes away, you will need to see an event volunteer who is using the butler to remove it.
  3. I already selected "no" or replied "STOP" to the SMS text message alerts, not realizing that I wouldn't receive outbid notices. Can I fix it? Yes! Text START to 56651 to begin receiving these once again.
  4. How do I place a Max Bid? To place a max bid, tap on Bid/Info  → Bid/Set Max and select the amount you are willing to spend on the item → Set Max. The system will bid up to that amount for you automatically. You will be notified via text message if you are outbid on this item.
  5. Did I win? Once the auction has closed, you can look under MENU/MY ITEMS to view everything that you have won/purchased. 
  6. I bought a ticket, but have no Bid Code or didn't get contacted
  7. I don't see the Gear icon
    • Try using Chrome or Edge?
