What You Need To Know
Dear Friend of Saint Joseph’s Center,
Welcome to the 23rd Annual Dennis Crafferty Memorial Auction hosted by the Saint Joseph’s Center Auxiliary. The Auction will open on Friday, November 10th at Noon and close on Thursday, November 16th, 2023 at 8 pm EST.
Your support for the Auction and all endeavors of the Auxiliary makes a difference in the lives of hundreds of children and adults. The generous response from friends, family, and the local business community exceeded our expectations once again this year. We are tremendously grateful for all who donated items or gift certificates, hosted or participated in a Shop Around, or solicited donations. We are indeed blessed by all volunteers who show their love for the mission of Saint Joseph’s Center.
Instructions
So, you might be wondering how an online auction works? You’ll want to begin by browsing the carefully selected items available on your phone, laptop or computer. You can view by scrolling through all items or highlighting one of the categories, Luxury (higher priced or one of a kind items), Entertainment/Technology, Home, For Her, For Him, Children’s, Gift Certificates and Wishes.
There is no cost to view the online auction items. HOWEVER, if you wish to bid on item(s) a credit card must be entered. Payment will only be required on items you win or wishes you choose to donate.
First step: Please register by completing the “registration section”. Credit card information is required in order to place bids or buy “Wishes”. You may purchase a “Wish (es)” at any time and complete the payment transaction. Auction items will be charged once the bidding is closed on November 16th.
- To place a bid simply click on the item you are interested in and click “BID NOW.” Be sure your credit card information is entered. Specific Bid increments will increase depending on item. Please monitor your bids to ensure you are the top bidder. You can also set a “Max Bid” and your bid will increase by the specified increment each time you are outbid until your limit. Email/text messages will be sent with bid status as well as text messages from ClickBid. There is a “Help Section” for frequently asked questions. Between November 10th and November 16th, you will receive notifications via email/text if you have been outbid on your selected item(s). Please continually monitor your bidding status to ensure you are still interested in all the items in “your cart”.
- You will be notified via email/text that you are the final bid and thus the winner! If you are the successful bidder at the close of the Auction, you will receive notification from ClickBid asking you to review your bid and confirm payment.
- Once you have been notified you have won your selected item(s) you will receive an email message listing what you have won. It will prompt you to “pay now” at which time you can make a payment using the credit card you registered with or another if you prefer. If you do not “pay now” prior to Friday, November 17th, 2023 at 8 am (EST) your credit card will be charged automatically for your purchase(s). All items must be picked up in person as specified below. If you just won a Gift Certificate or something that can fit in a regular size envelope, it will be mailed to you. All items are sold “as is” and all sales are final.
Pick Up Arrangements:
Items can be picked up at Saint Joseph’s Center, DeNaples Family Community Services Building, 320 South Blakely Street in Dunmore. Please note that you should park on Pine Street across from the Dunmore Fire Department. Do not double park on Pine Street as the Fire Department will be unable to safely exit in an emergency. An Auxiliary volunteer will meet you and bring your purchases to you curbside.
Items can be picked up:
Friday, November 17th between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM
Saturday, November 18th between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM
*If you are unable to pick up your items during this time, alternative arrangements can be made by emailing Auxiliary@stjosephscenter.org. If you have questions now or later, please contact Lynn at auxiliary@stjosephscenter.org or 570-207-6656.

Wishes
Once again, we are pleased to include "Saint Joseph's Center Wishes" for the Auction participants to fund. Wishes are items you can purchase that go directly to the needs of residents and clients at Saint Joseph's Center. This has been a popular part of the Auction for the past several years. The Wishes are valued at $50, $100, $250, and $500, $1,000, and $2,500 amounts. They fund various items such as Community Events, Art supplies, Furniture, Adaptive Equipment, and much more! On behalf of those individuals who will benefit from your donation, please accept our sincere gratitude for your kindness to those who live at or receive services from one of the many programs.
