We invite you to join St. Charles Borromeo Academy in celebrating its 75th year of service to our community. Thank you for participating in our Spring Gala and Fundraising Auction! This annual event helps support essential programs at our school including campus and covid safety, textbooks, physical education, science and technology, classroom aides and so much more! Through generous community support, we are able to bridge the gap between what tuition provides and the enhancements our Transitional Kindergarten through 8th grade students need in order to be engaged and inspired throughout the school year.
We kindly request a donation in support of this year’s event, “Fundraising Fiesta.” You can help us reach our fundraising goal in many ways such as, a one-time donation, by purchasing silent or live auction items or donating to Fund-A-Need. All donations are greatly appreciated and directly benefit the students at St. Charles Borromeo Academy.

Our financial goal for the Fundraising Fiesta is $80,000.
Our fundraising events are absolutely vital to the SCBA community. Over the past three years, we have seen exponential growth at Saint Charles, which was critical to the school’s continued success. When enrollment was low, however, the parish supported SCBA financially to help the school get through the challenging times. Without this support, SCBA would not be thriving today. Fundraising has always been and will always be a part of our financial plan. The legacy of Catholic schools is to keep tuition as low as possible so that a Catholic school education will be accessible to as many students as possible. The reality is that a 2017 EdWeek study stated that the average California spending California was $8,694 per student. According to the California Department of Education, in San Diego Unified, the cost to educate a child during 2017-2018 was $12,830. When you compare those numbers to the cost of our tuition at SCBA, the difference is notable. Because we are committed to keep the cost of Catholic education affordable, we are tasked to fundraise for both discretionary and non-discretionary spending.
At SCBA, we are committed to ensuring that students will have all of the tools necessary to learn in an efficient and meaningful manner. The live auction portion of the FUNDraising Fiesta this year will offer the following opportunities for you to partner with us.
