Join us on March, 7 at the Amarillo Civic Center Grand Plaza from 11:30am to 1:00pm as we mark 25 years of Providing Help and Creating Hope for thousands of elderly and disabled panhandle residents each month through the Salt & Pepper Luncheon.

How it all started

25 years ago, one of our volunteers was delivering food to a homebound client of Catholic Charities’ InterFaith Hunger Project when she discovered the recipe for salt and pepper soup. The recipe was simply Salt & Pepper added to hot water.  Our volunteer discovered something else. This was all the client had in the home to eat. That’s when the Salt & Pepper luncheon was born.

Since its inception, we’ve gone from serving 150 clients to more than 600 each month and the need will only grow higher in the foreseeable future.

Where Your Money Goes

100% of the funds raised during the Salt & Pepper Luncheon will go to help feed the hungry clients of the Interfaith Hunger Project. This luncheon is one of many ways Catholic Charities of the Texas Panhandle reaches out to the most caring community in Texas to help the most vulnerable within the community.

How to Bid

4. Confrim you are the name listed then click "Continue"

5. Once logged in, you can search by item number, keyword, or by category. 

6. To place a bid, tap on the blue "Bid/Info" button. There you can place a fast bid, bid, or set a max bid, and read details about the item.

7. Tap on the MENU button to view your activity throughout the event.

8. Use the blue gear icon in the top left corner of the bidding site to update your information at any time.
