Roland Park After Dark

Every year the RPEMS PTA hosts THE party of the year that serves both as FUNDraiser and FUNraiser. All PTA funds go straight to enhancing the learning and morale of our school community. We reimburse teachers and staff for materials, technology, and trainings, sponsor teacher luncheons and potlucks. We provide scholarships to students for field trips both near and far. We host school-based events like dances and movie nights to help build stronger community connections and a sense of belonging. It is through this funding effort that we seek to continue to support our school.

Our next auction/party is the Centennial Ball on Friday March 14, 2025 from 6:30-10:00 pm at the Roland Park Community Center. With good food and drinks, music by our favorite DJ, a dance floor waiting just for you, a Silent Auction plus the Wine Pull - this is a night you won't want to miss!

Tickets

Roland Park After Dark will be held on March 14, 2025 from 6:30 - 10:00 PM.

Location: Roland Park Community Center, 5802 Roland Avenue, 21210

To attend, you must have purchased tickets prior to the event. Tickets will likely sell out before the event and will not be sold at the door! 


Volunteer

We need volunteers to make this a great event! From set up, to check in, to helping take donations at the bars - there is bound to be something for you. Most shifts are only an hour and give you a chance to meet other fabulous community members. Silent Auction Logistics


The Silent Auction will open on Wednesday, March 12 at 5 PM & ends on Friday, March 14, 2024 at 9:15 PM.

In order to participate in the Silent Auction, you must be registered through ClickBid (this online platform) and have a credit card linked to your account. Purchases must be made using a credit card through Click Bid. If you haven't checked out of your account by 10PM on March 14, we will close the account for you and charge the credit card on file. There is a small credit card fee associated with each transaction.  


If you are the winning bidder for a tangible item or gift card through the Silent Auction, you will take the item home with you from the event. If you are not attending the event, there will be scheduled times during the week after the auction to pick up your item(s) at a home near school.


Wine Pull Logistics

One of our popular attractions at the event is the Wine Pull!  Guests can buy a ticket for a surprise bottle of wine to be enjoyed later. Email Matt at meshleman@gmail.com to arrange a donation.

Q: Must I attend Roland Park After Dark to participate in the Silent Auction?A: No! ANYONE may bid!  Just register through ClickBid and start our winning streak!

Q: How do I bid in the Silent Auction?
A: ALL Silent Auction bids will be done on this website, ClickBid. Use your computer or mobile phone to bid. Click the Register button at the top of this page!

Q: What if I need help bidding?
A: ClickBid is very user friendly and so are we. We will have roving helpers throughout the evening.

Q: When does bidding open?
A: Bidding will open Wednesday, March 12 at 5:00PM.

Q: When does bidding close?
A: Friday, March 14 at 9:15 PM

Q: How do I pay for items I win?
A: You must enter a credit card with ClickBid in order to start bidding. After the event, you may check out through your phone / computer or at the check-out table in the lobby. If your account hasn't been closed by 10PM on March 14, we will close the account for you and charge the credit card on file. There is a credit card fee included with each transaction.

Q: What if I am not present at auction close?
A: You can check out through your phone / computer wherever you are, or let us check you out between 9:15-9:45 PM. You must pick up any items you didn't take home at scheduled times the week after the auction.

Q; What is up for bid?
A: When the auction opens, items up for bid can be seen by clicking "Check Out The Auction Items Here" in the Menu at the top of this page! 

Q: Is there a dress code for the Roland Park After Dark party?
A: It's up to you! Our theme this year is the Cenntenial Ball with a loose 1920s vibe. Be creative! 

Q: What about parking?
A: There is parking in the lot behind the community center as well as street parking. Consider using a ride share to make it easy! 

Q; May I bring my child(ren)?

A: Nope. Sorry; this is one event where we insist that kids NOT attend.

How to Bid

New to Silent Auctions? Here's How You Do It!

How To Bid

  1. Go to the home page. 
  2. Log in by entering your phone number or email address and tap GO at the top of the webpage where it says "Welcome"
  3. You will receive an email or text with a one-time Login Code
  4. Enter the code and click Next (code expires after 15 minutes)
  5. Confirm you are the name listed then click "Continue".
  6. Once completely logged in, you can search by item #, keyword, or by category.
  7. To place a bid tap on the blue "Bid/Info" button. There you can place a fast bid, bid, or set a max bid, and read details about items. 
  8. Tap on MENU > MY ITEMS to view your activity throughout the event.
  9. Use the Blue Gear icon in the top left corner of the bidding site to update your information at any time.


Checkout From Your Phone

You can securely checkout from your phone with a credit card. Once you have a checkout available, a red "Pay!" button will appear at the top of your bidding screen. Tap on this button to proceed to checkout. If you have not already put a credit card on file, you will need to do so at this time in order to check out from your phone. *For one checkout, wait until all auction items (silent, appeal) have closed.


Need Help?

  • How do I remove a bid? Right after you place a bid, you have the option to "undo" on the confirmation banner at the top of the screen. Once this banner goes away, you will need to see an event volunteer that is using the butler to remove it.
  • I already selected "no" or replied "STOP" to the SMS text message alerts, not realizing that I wouldn't receive outbid notices. Can I fix it? Yes! Text "START" to 56651 to begin receiving these once again.
  • How do I place a Max Bid? To place a "max bid", tap on Bid/Info > BID/SET MAX > select the amount you are willing to spend on the item > SET MAX. The system will bid up to that amount for you automatically. You will be notified via text message if you are outbid on this item.
  • Did I win? Once the auction has closed, you can look under MENU/MY ITEMS to view everything that you have won/purchased.
  • Note that we can not control carrier settings for receiving the code by text.  If you continue to not get your code via text, try via email or check with your cell phone provider.
  • Please check your spam for the login code email if you do not see it in your inbox.
