Frequently Asked Questions

 What should the guests expect?

The night begins with The Prelude Party at The Detroit Zoo ~ Butterfly House and will include the Big Reveal!  While enjoying champagne and appetizers, the guests will receive a card with the name of their host for the evening and their address.

How many Host Homes will there be?

We have 12 Hosted dinners.

Can the guests pick where they want to go?

All of the Hosts will be included on the invitations.   The guests will have the opportunity to request their top 3 Host Homes, as well as, friends they would like to dine with.  The Hosts all have a “theme”, giving the guests the opportunity to also make choices based on the dinner that looks the most appealing!  We do our very best to honor all requests and have yet to not be able to accommodate one or all of the preferences.  If you are a new community member that is not sure what to request, we also place guests in homes with similar stages, interests and affinity groups.

What if I have special dietary restrictions?

There will be a place when purchasing your tickets to identify if you have any special restrictions.  We will do our absolute best to make sure that restrictions are accommodated.

Will there be a Silent Auction?

Yes!  The Silent Auction this year will have a new spin on class projects.  The theme of the entire event is FOOD, so we will be supplying each classroom and a few MS/US students or homerooms with Aprons to decorate in any way they would like.  The LS will have an adult & child apron to create.  We have also added in 5 highly desirable items that are sure to please.

Will there be a For the Love of Roeper Paddle Raise?

Yes!  We will have a dynamic Alumna speaker and a paddle raise for the Mariann Hoag Financial Aid Grant Award Program.

What is the ticket price?

Tickets are $75 per person, which includes appetizers, champagne or sparkling water, all of the fun of the Prelude Party and you hosted dining experience.

What is the attire for the evening?

The attire is “Casual Chic”.

We hope to see you there!
