About Riverbend

For 50 years Riverbend Environmental Education Center has connected children, families, and adults with the abundant nature found on our Gladwyne preserve. The 30 acre preserve serves as an outdoor classroom for experiential learning for school-based groups and summer camps. It is open to the public year-round and encompasses the 100-year-old Snider Barn, an aquaponics greenhouse, numerous hiking trails, outdoor learning classrooms, a bird observation area, and acres of open space.

Through our nature camps, field trips, schools' programs, and preserve events, Riverbend is a beacon for mature naturalists and budding naturalists alike.

While advancing environmental literacy is at the heart of creating a more sustainable future for us all, free play in nature also empowers children and adults to take action to conserve Earth's resources. We are fiercely committed to providing children access to nature regardless of their zip code.

Your support of Farm to Table will allow us to continue our work in schools in Norristown, Upper Darby, Delaware County, and Philadelphia, where we served over 8,000 students in 2024. The proceeds from this event will allow us to deepen and expand this work, while maintaining our preserve as a living laboratory, with trails open 365 days a year.
