The Red Jacket Gala is City Year's signature fundraising event, bringing over 750 leaders together in the Detroit community. The purpose of the event is to recognize our 25th anniversary and celebrate the work of City Year's AmeriCorps members and the 6,000 students they serve every day in Detroit schools. This annual event raises critical funds to support City Year's mission and to honor an individual with the Idealist in Action Award for their outstanding commitment to service in our city, nation, or world. We are pleased to honor Robert Riney, President, and CEO of Henry Ford Health this year.
